Jane, Having grown up in snow country, I agree. Every year I try to get the feeling back by trying to mimic the snow. One year I sprayed the roof with water and put my two refrigerator/freezers right under the eaves and opened the freezer doors to try and make icicles....how was I to know that this would generate more heat rather than cooling the whole area. The following year, I tried 20 cubic feet of those white styrofoam packing peanuts spread over the roof and yard....they just blew away and pissed off the neighbors. This year, I stole a flocking machine from the corner christmas tree lot.....I am expecting to be a bit more successful. JXM
