...we do undertrain our police, and pay is so low that it doesn't attract the brightest... I'm showing my isolation again. I'm in Canada. Our police are paid approximately one-and-one-half the national average salary. Before being put into duty, they attend a police college. Upgrading is common. Maybe things are different where you're living. Cheers, PW. P.S. I used to live near a police college. I'd encounter the students quite a bit, but since they haven't yet graduated, I didn't consider them cops.
