I will defend LG here. He posted a very clear chart showing the downtrend at 380 level. He called his trade and in my opinion made a very good call. I do not agree with him here, but I will defend the fact that he has called his trades in the past. I am no fan of shorts, but in my opinion LG backed up his statement last time with acurate charts and a realistic theory. The lack of tollerence for any negative view on this thread is pathetic. I for one appreciate hearing your opinion, even if I disagree.

Ruffian: In my previous shorts on QCOM, I provided charts with analysis. I have been insulted each and every time both publicly and via Pmail. This time I have my Pmail shut off and the public insults have been worse than before.

I think I will pass providing any analysis or charts this time...

If your intent is to not provide validation for your trade decision or engage in a discussion, why come here and announce that you are short. And to top it off you give temp firings as a reason for shorting. You opened yourself up for ridicule. And then you complain about how nasty everyone is over here. You call this nasty? Go check out the Yahoo boards. If you make money shorting QCOM, good for you. But don't bother to announce your trades without analysis, it serves no purpose.

QCOM is a great company and I intend holding the stock long term where I expect it to be an excellent investment. However, investors who think that QCOM is immune from severe correction are very naive IMO. The shares have had a great run this year but like several other companies the price may have raced away from the fundamentals a little too fast. No harm then in retracing a little and consolidating for a few months and setting a base for the next significant moves forward. It could be a good buying opportunity. Day traders should be cautious, long term holders just relax and enjoy the ride!

Good luck to all
