Well, my first post on SI board, so here's my $.02 cents or really 20k cents if you count sign-up fee. Visited Softbank web site : would link specific page but sorry I couldn't get it to come up even when I entered it manually. Went to Investor Relation's and from there to Financial Information. Pulled up financial report (PDF format) for September/1999 ending. First the total # of common stock issued (on company outline page) is 102,000,000 and change. The financial assets page lists assets as 1,065,342 MY. My math - dividing 1,065,342 MillionYen by the # of issued shares gives me 10444Y/share asset value. The 1,065,342 fiqure includes fluff for things like goodwill @ 169,365 MY and intangible assest @ 169,027 MY. So, I think they figured in some of the future IPO values here. The financial report states shareholders actual equity is 330,762 MY - way down from the total 1,065,342 MY. The report continues stating Total Shareholder's Equity per share = Y3,035.43. If this is accurate we're trading at 23 x asset value. PLEASE, SOMEONE CORRECT ME ! ! ! What am I missing??? I was hoping securities held by SBFTF were not included but they're on the totals on page 2. Where is our financial report WIZZARD??
