I thought i heard 23 Million DSL users by 2003?
Is that right???

Its called a wild guess. Nobody knows how many users will pick DSL vs. cable. We only know there will be *a lot* of broadband users. I'd wild guess 60 Million total broadband by then, 20 Million of them being @home.

One detail everyone seems to be overlooking is that ATHM's exclusivity contracts are two way. They limit @home from searching out other means of transporting residential broadband beyond cable.

The end of the exclusivity will bring new opportunities (DSL & Wireless for example- even fiber) as well as new competiton.
