Oh wow! That must have been terrible! Hopefully you recovered those losses in the mania on the upside from Jan-April. I do know a guy who lost $750K shorting yahoo last year.... or maybe his investment was 750K total, I don't remember... but last year was dreadful for software people so believe it or not even those losses paled in comparison to some long time psft employee losses, for example.

Oh, I remember that first week in January so well. I was long calls up the ying-yang. In a month my trading portfolio went from -75% to +300%. I nearly puked too, but it was a good kind of puking.

So does anyone think YHOO can hit $488 before earnings? That would only be a double off the old highs. Or maybe I'm being too optimistic, perhaps $443 would be more attainable - a double off the January 99 high. :)
