<Might Globalstar become a premium service to allow one to bypass overloaded land based systems as discussed below?

Yes, but that won't last long because terrestrial service providers are attending WWeb Marketing 101 courses and will learn about Feral Marketing and WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY, THE RATS WILL PLAY.

Then there won't be any busy signals, customers will be happy, the service providers will make a fortune, slow service providers who don't know about When the Cat's Away, The Rats Will Play will go broke and their networks taken over by somebody who does.

So Globalstar will only get a bit of business from the terrestrial overload effect, but it will certainly be handy, especially over the first two years when Globalstar will be wanting every customer it can get.
