<The good news: a good percentage of .18 micron Athlon's (Al) are yielding 1 GHz. A decent amount of Copper Athlons (better take a seat) are already hitting 1.2 GHz!! Again, Yields are way better than expected. The Thunderbird seems to be ahead of schedule too (no details right now). > This is kind of old news - looks like Ace's is slowing down ;-)

Can't wait to see the effects of good yields and high MHz from the .18 process. "The bad news: the K6-2+ and K6-III+ continue to have problems to yield at higher speeds (533 MHz+). Oh well, you can't have it all." I hope this doesn't hold AMD back too much in the first half of next year.
