<The good news: a good percentage of .18 micron Athlon's (Al) are yielding 1 GHz. A decent amount of Copper Athlons (better take a seat) are already hitting 1.2 GHz!! Again, Yields are way better than expected. The Thunderbird seems to be ahead of schedule too (no details right now).

This is kind of old news - looks like Ace's is slowing down ;-)

I can't wait for these.

They ought to REALLY SCREAM - with a 350 MHz L2 cache - and a 60 Watt Power Dissipation (1000/750*45)!

Neat! Can't wait to see the effects of good yields and high MHz from the .18 process.

"The bad news: the K6-2+ and K6-III+ continue to have problems to yield at higher speeds (533 MHz+). Oh well, you can't have it all."

I hope this doesn't hold AMD back too much in the first half of next year.
