POWI is like an orphan now: no one minding it. And it has dropped a fair amount, although it is still the 10 bagger that the person starting this thread mentioned (8 to 80; post-split = 4 to 40)

I am contemplating something I rarely do: average up. But before I do, does anyone have any opinions as to why is has dropped recently while the NASDAQ is up? News on the lawsuit leaking out, or sales reports? Or maybe people figure that once the earnings come out fully taxed that the growth rate will nominally look worse, and that unsophisticated investors will therefore drive the price lower?

My guess is none of the above. There simply is not much of a following for POWI, as can be seen by the few posts here and on the YAHOO board as well. It seems that POWI moves quite erratically up and down. And it is its own story; it does not seem to move with the surges in other segments of the electronics market, like the whole computing market, or the whole networking market, etc.

Nonetheless, their story still seems compelling to me. Smart household devices, power conservation, slimlining plug-ins, with a strong patent book. Anyone else care to give their overview where POWI sits now?
