I wasn't suggesting that $13,000.00 per year was scary. But 2 years ago the same type positions were offered at $5.50 per hour. When you have to pay more for entry level it puts pressure on all wages up the ladder. Also in a lot of the high productivity areas you mentioned many employees are compensated by stock options which are not being expensed as wages. Auto workers and other unions and government here is Maryland are starting to give bigger raises. Unions are becoming more aggressive. I think we are beginning to see wage inflation. It isn't going to happen overnight. It will build slowly at first and then rapidly. The fact is there is no way to keep all the government funny money out of the wage earner's hands over the long haul.
