Economic Data for Thursday, December 9, 1999 Weekly Jobless Claims = +1k to 293k dol.gov In the week ending Dec. 4, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 293,000, an increase of 1,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 292,000. The 4-week moving average was 286,750, an increase of 250 from the previous week's unrevised average of 286,500. Import Prices for Nov. = +0.5% Export Prices = +0.2% bls.gov The U.S. Import Price Index increased 0.5 percent in November, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The increase--the fifth in a row--was the same as in October. Export prices were up 0.2 percent in November, after rising 0.3 percent inOctober.
