The sources said the "training of extortion" was given at the Police Training Centres, where the trainees were allowed to go home after bribing their senior officers.
The main target of extortion are motorcyclists. The police sources said most of the motorcyclists in the city did not carry all relevant documents. The second largest source of income of a police station is gambling dens, which are being
operated under the patronage of police stations in their respective areas. A considerable portion of the den's income is allocated for thana (police station).
