SDWSF - NEW YORK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1999--Sideware Corp., a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Sideware Systems Inc., (OTCBB:SDWSF)
(CDNX:SYD.U) today announced that the Sideware Team is demonstrating
its new Data Source Manager (DSM) at the Java Business Conference in
NYC.
This event, sponsored by Sun Microsystems, Inc., is today's
premier source for information about the successful development and
deployment of Java(TM) technology in business. The conference is
taking place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from December 7 to
9, 1999. With the theme, "Enterprise Solutions In Action", this
conference focuses on the role of Java platform-based enterprise
solutions, and how Java technology solutions help IT professionals
with their .com business strategies.
Sideware's new Data Source Management technology provides Dr.
Bean with enterprise level capabilities, enabling enterprise level
multiple data source connectivity. Web sites equipped with Dr. Bean's
Data Source Manager capabilities will provide national or
international corporations (and their web based CSR's) with the
ability to readily access any of their data bases regardless of its
location. For example, this allows their CSR's to utilize the Dr. Bean
server located in one city, while they access their authentication
server in a second city and their billing engine in a third. Built
entirely with SUN's Java Technologies, the DSM technology is
Enterprise Java Base ("EJB") compliant, and provides a fully scaleable
means to extract data from back office systems.
Owen Jones, CEO of Sideware stated "this is representative of our
continuing design direction for Dr. Bean. We are developing an entire
family of components which will give us the most comprehensive
enterprise E-CRM product in the marketplace.
