Deep Purple used to have the Guiness Book Record for the loudest concert -- 117dB as I recall, just 7 dB over the pain threshold. I guess they got everything louder than everything else. Until later, when I recall reading about a band's 120dB "performance." I think it was a band at a Micron toutfest. <g>
