well, the easy answer is because:

which isn't a bad answer, actually.

but beyond that, if you have your ear to ground, you're already hearing about numerous screw-ups and glitches because of y2k. (social security checks with bogus amounts, problems at banks, etc.) I can't believe that we'll get to January without a good percent of people having a bit of this "in their face." It won't take too many people taking only a bit off the table...

then there's oil, and the fact that Wave 5's do end...though it seems like they never will.

December. Why not?
