What inspired my question were your statements: that we need to "keep our hands off their food" and "They are starving because we are taking their supplies."

I wasn't sure if this was literally true. I wasn't aware that the U.S. prevented the production of food in Iraq, blocked the importation of food to Iraq or somehow, stole the food that was in Iraq.

I think sanctions rarely achieve the intended effect.
