No, I haven't read anything by "America's tough uncle", but there are times when I like what he says. There are other times when he uses an intellectual bludgeon to stifle debate. Like when he says, "Buchanan flirts with fascism", he doesn't cite any examples or explain what he means, he just throws the bomb and moves on. It's an acceptable tactic if one is a polemicist, but he presents himself as an intellectual.
