Shoibal: I noticed that too but hadn't Gateway been getting product from AMD. In fact didn't they make a big deal of it when they announced that INTC was no longer their sole source. I think they are being put to the back of the line by INTC and that all the loyal INTC vendors will be getting the priority on shipments. I don't think this should flow through to the argument that INTC production is down. It was my understanding that they were producing all they can to meet anticipated demand but they were having trouble shipping to the extra demand that has been pouring in. I would believe that the problem might lie with Gateway trying to make up a shortfall from AMD with INTC product. That is my pro INTC view of this thing. To me allthis should be bullish for the cpu makers as the conditions in the market would preclude any discounting. JFD
