Oh, the Host is the consecrated communion wafer, sorry, technical term, my fault....As for the other, the Catholics and the Orthodox, and some others, insist upon the objectivity of the sacraments, which means that a priest is such by ordination, not by personal merit, and that he perpetually has the power of dispensing certain other sacraments, although he may not be licensed to do so, as when defrocked. Thus, the laity is assured that a corrupt priest is still qualified to say Mass, for example, and need not trouble itself if it had been stuck.......
