RESEARCH ALERT- Salomon sees Gateway Q4 revs limit

NEW YORK, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Gateway Inc.'s (NYSE:GTW - news) fourth- quarter revenue growth
will be limited by a shortage of Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) chips, but the personal computer
maker should still manage to meet earnings expectations, Salomon Smith Barney said on Tuesday.>>>

Jim, you don't believe this trash, do you? Barrett and Otellini have said the channels are flooded....the only problem is that they are not flooded with chips.

By the way, this is the second warning on GTW. Last week Merrill Lynch warned as well.

Jim,

Oh yeahhhh! Intel brings down GTW, is Dell next?

If it happens to Dell also, I guess they will be learning it the hard way not to depend on a single source in a multibillion Dollar business. Don't you think this will give advantage to AMD at the bargaining table if GTW and DELL (I personally like DELL to remain as Intel only outfit just to see what's awaiting for them down the road) decide to use Athlon?
