WORLD CALLNET (WOWW) ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL ROLL OUT PLANS FOR
M@ILTV(TM) IN 2000

MONDAY, DECEMBER 6 1999 7:48 AM EST

LONDON, Dec 6, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- World CallNet, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board:
WOWW) announced today that M@ilTV(TM) enabled television sets and retrofit receivers will

be available throughout the UK followed by an international roll-out in Germany, Turkey and
Australia in early 2000. Further territories for M@ilTV commercialisation are currently in
negotiation with industry and marketing partners around the world.

Paul Goodman-Simpson, CEO of World CallNet said: "M@ilTV is a global product for the
mass
consumer market offering users e-mail and an expanding choice of interactive information
services via their TV and telephone line. The key to its success is it's low-cost; M@ilTV will
offer
Internet functionality at a fraction of the cost of a computer or other existing Web-TV type
devices."

World CallNet further announced that discussions are at an advanced stage to establish
M@ilTV services in France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, India, Brazil, and the
Caribbean. Following Zi Corporation's announcement to license the eZiTEXT(TM) intuitive
language processing software to World CallNet's strategic partner ZiLOG Inc., f a Chinese
language version of M@ilTV will also become available, allowing deployment within China.

Goodman-Simpson commented further: "This initiative ensures M@ilTV can be rolled out
globally. With eZiTEXT offered in thirteen alphabetical languages and three ideographic
languages, World CallNet is able to offer M@ilTV with local language support -- even in
countries where symbolic characters are used".

World CallNet is at the leading edge of Internet convergence technology, which integrates
television telephone and Internet technologies and applications into one seamless and user
friendly unit. World CallNet's Research and Development division has developed M@ilTV
using
its own proprietary and patent pending Ultra Thin Client Protocol (UTCP) technology.

M@ilTV is embedded in new televisions at their point of manufacture and is available as a
retrofit receiver kit for use with existing televisions. Internet service provision in the United
Kingdom for M@ilTV users is to be supplied by World CallNet through its UK subsidiary
Internet
Service Provider CallNet plc.
