ho ho...i went to the impereal oil meeting up here once...imp oil is partly owned by xom...one feller asks about gay couple benefits every year and gets shot down in flames by the prez every year... another feller asked for the freeloaders not to be able to get a free lunch, but that of course is another story... i hope you post HERE, i don't know about any social responsibility threads...maybe kissypots can help...

HJ- I did read today that Exxon was only going to give employee benefits to couples that are legally married. That means gay couples cannot receive employee benefits either. Personally I think that's bull shit, but I shouldn't post my feelings here. I should post that kinda stuff on a social responsible thread, not a greed thread. Don't you think? Sure you should post them here, and I agree with you. I've been a DRIP investor in XON (now XOM) for a few years, and over the weekend mailed in my order to liquidate. I'll be buying companies w/ an eye towards renewable energy. BPA is one company that has a pretty extensive solar energy effort. The benefits thing makes me happier I sold. BTW, I did write to XOM to let them know why I'll no longer be a shareholder. Randy
