SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Cobalt Networks Inc (NasdaqNM:COBT - news), a developer of easy-to-use server appliances, said it will supply its Cobalt Qubes to France Telecom , as part of a plan to deliver Internet access to schools in France.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cobalt said it is working with DNS Telecom, a systems integrator based in Paris, to provide France Telecom with servers which filter Web content, protect e-mail from computer viruses and other core services.

The companies said that France Telecom was looking for a system that did not require special maintenance, and that could protect children from unwanted content on the Internet.
