Seems extreme to me. If one sided platters yield 25 GB in 2003, that's inadequate for heavy video. They're saying that only 20% of the drives will be heavy video at a time when we have broadband to the home and digital VCRs are commonplace.

I would actually expect the greatest penetration of one sided in the next year or two when you get a 5 GB drive and people don't see the need for more. Wonder what's holding the numbers down. -Z

Todd, do they have figures for growth in total heads or suspensions in those years?
