Sudan: Energy Minister Says Sudan Keen To Enhance Economic Ties With France

Khartoum, Dec. 9 (SUNA)- Minister of Energy and Mining Dr Awad Ahmad al-Jaz
affirmed that Sudan is keen to enhance its relations with France and to increase
mutual interests in all the economic domains, particularly in the field of production
of petroleum, following the resumption of the French Total Company to its
operations in the Sudan.

This came when the minister of energy and mining received on Wednesday [8th
December] the French ambassador to the Sudan.

The meeting discussed the developed French-Sudanese relations at the political
and economic levels as well as investments by the French companies in the
Sudan especially in the spheres of petroleum, mining and electricity.

The French ambassador conveyed the desire of the French companies to develop
and extend their present activities in the Sudan.
