Nevin,

Excellent post. I believe you indirectly hit the nail on the head describing Cymer's lack of Wall Street appeal when you stated "Cymer is not a household name" and "is a company that is hard for Wall Street types to get their arms around" among many other very good comments.

Why is this? Because IMHO it does a very poor job in the public relations department and its corporate advertising is basically a non-event. It just doesn't make any sense why an industry leader is so lacking in the PR and advertising arenas. And this policy has been in place for as long as one can remember. Where would Intel be today if it refrained from all advertising? Cymer could be become a major focus in the public's and Wall Street's eye if it chooses to do so without violating existing "non-disclosure agreements". This subject has been bantered around for at least two years in this thread. It's now time for top management to take immediate action to get everyone's attention.

All the best, Allan
