niceguy, don't get carried away on flash. Jonathan Joseph, in his comments last Friday in "The Semi Beat" reported that, starting Thanksgiving, flash prices on the spot market DROPPED by 20 to 40 percent because of a large new supply from AMD and Nokia trimming inventory before the end of the year.

Sorry, there's no link, a graphics copy of this newsletter was sent to me last Friday by Albert. Jonathan Joseph thought that the price decrease would be temporary (he IS talking about the spot market, not the contract market), so I will be watching for the next edition of the newsletter to see if the Flash pricing reverses upwards.

The great news from this newsletter is that this analyst is hearing that AMD will ship at least 1.2 million Athlons this quarter, and that Intel is not meeting previously contracted commitments for Coppermine chips.
