Here's how you can view Gemstar as a telecosm play, or at least a derivative one...

1. Telecosm is all about speed and volume of communication, information, etc.
2. All that volume will eventually penetrate the tv world and the mass market, and overwhelm users at the other end.
3. Gemstar will help people control and navigate the torrent.
