It isn't. It's used to define revenue growth.

you are of course correct and it is a very important difference.
i just started RTFM for the third time...i am a slow learner.

back to the subject stocks...i just compared sebl and cree revenue growth...last quarter they were equal..63%. cree just netted more.

once upon a time, back in the old days, i learned to focus on earnings...i am getting over it, slowly.
