IDC forecasts have been seriously wrong all this year.
I believe they forecast 13 % growth back in March.

Possibly this forecast is better because it is occurring near the end of the calendar quarter but I would not count on it.

IDC seems to be seriously confused when they say that the corporate sales will be down due to impact of the Taiwan earthquake and yet consumer sales are going to be way up. How does an earthquake know how to knock out corporate computer parts while preserving consumer computer parts factories???

The reason the Street did not interpret that as positive news is because Dell is controlled by several analytical cross your ass bra wearing New York City transvestites.

they still haven't figured out on which end the bra goes.

forgive this crude explanation. not meant directly for you, but clearly if they can find a petty string to pull they pull it figuring it will unravel the entire suit.
