GGUY: small chain of electronics stores in the northwest. Most of their stores are pretty cruddy. They've been hammered on all sides by BBUY, CC etc. and bleeding money. The stock got a lift when they announced that they would drop personal computers and revamp to a higher-end format. I visited some of the stores while shopping in SF and San Mateo. Salesmen tell me that foot traffic hasn't been that heavy and returns are high. It doesn't take a genius to figure that if electronics retail is a bit soft (why CC and BBUY are going lower) that GGUY is headed for a negative surprise.

CYGN..no opinion - haven't looked at it.
