what do you mean when you say "I am covered"?

how does the fact that you "wouldn't mind owning" it help if the stock, in fact, tanks when you are short the put?

by the way, i own calls on the 4 stocks you mention (Qcom, INTC, PMCS, and TXN). i was holding visx december 80 calls as well and expect to lose my premium on that one. a far smaller loss than if i had shorted the puts.
