Fujitsu teamservers Start the New Millenium at 700MHz

- workgroup, departmental and web users will all benefit -
Tokyo, December 7, 1999 - Fujitsu Limited today announced new 700MHz dual processor servers in its teamserver range of business servers. This once again maintains Fujitsu in its position as a quality supplier at the forefront of performance. Based on Intel(R) Pentium(R)III processors the new models C880ix and G880ix can provide up to a 15% processor performance boost for organizations requiring reliable workgroup and groupware servers, departmental application servers or web servers.
Fujitsu teamserver C800i series matches the requirements of workgroups for mail, LAN server, back-office, Internet gateway and workgroup applications. The G800i series, with its larger capacity, higher RAS functions including greater redundancy and availability features meets the needs of departmental applications and web servers.

"The stunning growth in Web and Intranet business continues to fuel the business requirement for more and more server power," said Isao Suzuki, Senior Vice President and Group President Marketing Group, Fujitsu Limited. "We will continue to match that power requirement in line with the latest in Intel's technology as soon as it becomes commercially available."

The new models come with the following base specifications and a package of standard server management and installation tools which make setup, ongoing management and failure prevention simple and easy to manage. They can also be expanded using either floor standing or rackmount highly redundant storage bays to over 1TB of data storage.
