Excerpted from Strategic Investment (Nov 1999).

................."One piece of baggage in particular to leave behind (as we enter the 21st Century) is the fear that the economy of Information Age Capitalism is a phony bubble about to burst. This is really a knock-on-wood fear that the bogey-man will get us if we're doing too well. But screw the bogeyman.

Once folks see that Y2K didn't amount to much, get used to dating their checks with two zeroes and adjust their vision forward, they'll figure out we are in the middle----not the top----of a Long Boom economic expansion. I don't want you to be not one of these folks, hunkered down with the fear of bursting bubbles and Second Depressions, and left behind when the economy of the next decade takes off so much it becomes known as the Roaring Zeroes. So let's all prepare to say a fond farewell, goodbye forever, to our century, leave the bubble baggage behind and step into the future fresh and unafraid."
