"AT&T, the No. 1 U.S. long-distance telephone company, is also expanding its wireless programs, recently announcing it was setting up a separate tracking stock for that portion of its business. Liberty Media Group (NYSE:LMGa - news), AT&T's cable television programming arm, is set to buy telecommunications investment company Associated Group Inc. (NasdaqNM:AGRPA - news), whose holdings include wireless local phone company Teligent Inc. (NasdaqNM:TGNT - news), in a $3 billion deal."
