The Naked Shorting, or the shorting of stocks whose public shares are not owned by the entities who do the shorting, mostly the Market Makers, hurts the poor folks who honestly try to make a few dollars in the stock market. The Market Makers take advantage of this opportunity to "skin" everyone and lower the price of the stock, so they can purchase it back at a lower price is unfair to the public. The practise of "NAKED SHORTING" of "Penny Stocks", by the Market Makers, or other entities just must be stopped. As you are aware, the Securities Exchange Commission, has asked for input on this issue from the public. I have let them know my feelings by responding to S-7-24-99, as above. I feel that Naked Shorting, of OTC:BB public stocks, hurts everyone, but most especially the poor folks, such as I, that sometimes dabbles in the stock market. This practise of shorting OTC:BULLETIN BOARD public stocks through Canada and other foreign countries, is unfair and must be halted. Could you please see if you can help sort of level the ground, so to speak, so that all of us will have an equal chance when investing in the OTC:BB field?
