<<<<Sorry I missed you Wind Cast- I did ask a question during the Ancor session about the 64/128 port switch. You guys had front row seats at DataQuest lunch- They stuck me in the back in the nose bleed seats <g> >>> I am sorry too, it would not have been a problem to come in and be right there. There were at least 3 or 4 places empty at the table. In fact I did not realize they were invitation seats .......I just walked in and sat down....so did my friend and his advisor.......it was the advisor who had mentioned that ancr had sponsored a table, I had no idea. He just said, somewhat jokingly....."I guess you would prefer to sit at the ancr table". Well he was certainly right about that. I was under the impression that anyone sat wherever they found a spot. I did not realize how full the room was until I tried to exit. Only then I realized what you are mentioning......the place was packed ! The tables were actually less crowded. Ed, did you get a salad ? :) in that hotel they must have been $20 salads ! Also, I asked Ken if he had ever heard of an innovative campaign that a man from Minnesota by the name of George Dawson was running. I explained to him that that man certainly had a lot of wisdom and the seriousness to search for accurate info. One of a select group of ancorites that had so keenly followed his company and helped me to commit my funds. Ken had heard something but did not know for sure! He just smiled. I guess there was a lot to smile about yesterday. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I also understood Ken's response the same way as you read it . And I take the same read on SUNW. The switches are a major component to solutions. Jeff Allen said clearly that if a customer wants the system to utilize a BRCD swtch. they will work with that.No problema.......BUT........he also added.......that if the customer wants a turnkey SUNW solution they utilize the ancr switch because they concluded some time ago that they felt it was technologically superior to any other switch. Yes he did.......he mentioned BRCD directly, but not as their choice. Ancr was their top choice because they had formed a very good working relationship. This was in sharp contrast to Reys assertion at 8.00+ am that unbiased testing had shown the superiority of BRCD's switch over all others. This time Ken was in the driver seat as ( I realize now ) Reys probably did not know just jet of the Intel announcement. I did not even know at 11:10 although everybody else must have, I was one of the very few without a palm top or cellular phone or internet access from that hotel. I was by the corridor/hall on the second floor ( where the coffee was) hoping to meet you and of course Ken. I did not exactly know what either looked like but had an advantage identifying Ken since Ken had a name tag with his name ! :). I just wanted to meet him and give him my thanks for his wonderful job at the helm. I did thank him and introduced myself as a long term ancr investor since 1996. Boy, his look said it all! he knew just how hard it must have been. and he said something along....." you went through some hard times, I hope you kept some and were able to benefit from this last much better stretch." I assured him I had. I felt he was truly happy for me. I told him in fact that during the darkest days I picked up a few( !!!!) more shares. I did not tell him that I actually picked up most for my companion's account ! And I also did not tell him that I think I finally will get to sleep in my bed again, and not in the dog house.......I am smiling too ! finally ! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What I also asked him was why Reys kept harping on that bogus test? Ken asked....." Did he really talk about that again ???" well he certainly had. Ken made sure later to explain during the conference that ancr did not in fact ship any switch for this test and that they had probably tested an older switch and without ancr's guidance or help. He did so rapidly, but right to the point, and in his natural low key no bull mode. Ed I am the fellow who asked about the the rumor that there was some problem with the the s-bus integration. Also asked about the interswitch link. Those were questions the boaerd had suggested. He dispelled that without any hesitation. He had read this too, and wondered why there was that confusion. I also asked if there were plans for 2GHz FC. The answer was YES. I think he gave a date not too far away, but I did not take notes and I forget the timing. Ed, hope we meet next time. You can have my salad..........you well deserve it ! windmast
