IMHO, a stock split and/or merger is just around the corner. If it is a takeover target, maybe they might pass on a stock split just as OCLI cancelled their once the JDSU takeover happened. Almost makes me feel that it is about to be acquired--a reason for the non-split.

I disagree. I know for a fact the company sees no reason to split and even if they were to consider it, they'd wait for the regular shareholder meeting in May.

Secondly, they're not looking to be acquired. The CEO has stated publicly they're looking at acquiring, not the opposite.

Steady as she goes. . .

Then we must agree to disagree. The company as far as I know has no plans to split at this time. If they should decide to split the stock in the future they would probably wait to get the approval at the next shareholder meeting.

From the JP Morgan report...Armed with cash from a recent follow-on offering and a valuable stock currency, we expect SDL to make multiple strategic acquisitions in the coming year.
