I remember. Have been in and out of this one several times since your call. Thanks again. Just wanted to recognize the most recent heads up at .64.
PS with today's disappointment in nptl it sure turned into a great day. Oh well, my modified bob brinker strategy (no more than 4% in any one stock. More like 8 to 10% for me) worked well today. Still holding some ntpl for the future.

YARC--WOW!! Those of us that got in are very fortunate, indeed. Let me just take a moment to thank my source on YARC.

Lance Berger--

There is a "right" way and a "wrong" way to do things in this world. From my experience, Lance does things the right way. Let me share with you, briefly, what I mean:

The Scene: Tampa, Florida.

The Situation: I'm down there on Monday to watch my Vikings battle the Bucs on Monday night football.

The Problem: I'm totally cut off from my computer and trying my best to follow NTPL. I'm expecting ACOM to price, but am unable to follow the give and take of NTPL.

The Solution: I have Lance's telephone number, which he gave to me a month or so ago. I figure that he's probably in NTPL and could tell me what it was doing.

Now let me tell you some background. Lance doesn't know me from Adam--he wouldn't be able to pick me out of a line-up of thugs and plug-uglies. Before Monday, we had never spoken. We have posted messages to each other for a few months, but he certainly wouldn't need my advice on any stock matters. He doesn't need to take calls from me, if he doesn't want to.

I call him up and tell him my dilemma. As it turns out, he is not playing NTPL, but he agrees to do some legwork on it for me, anyway. While we are talking, YARC begins to rocket through the .30's. How do I know this? Because Lance clues me into it (I can practically see him rising out of his chair as he is describing the action on it). Now, telling me about YARC (he actually read me the news release over the phone), doesn't help him get any of his fills--if anything, it probably slows him down.

I hang up and immediately phone my broker--who proceeds to help me swing and miss through the lower .40's. Finally, with a few quick market orders (which I normally avoid), I filled at .44 and .45.

About 20 minutes later, I called Lance back. He shared with me the NTPL info I was looking for--and it turns out that I got a bunch of YARC shares at prices similar to levels at which Lance was buying (which means he actually made it harder on himself by sharing the info with me).

To make a long story short, I sold YARC today (which might be a mistake, but then, I forgot to ask Lance how high this would rocket) up well over 100%. Not a bad 2 day gain, considering I had called during trading hours, in the middle of a full-fledge run, asking about a stock that Lance didn't even own. I got my NTPL information, plus a bonus play that netted me several thousand dollars.

There is a right way to do things in this world. This gentleman has done right by me. I urge anyone who does not know about Lance's "Beautiful Thing" thread, to drop by and give it a look. As people on this thread already know, the fight becomes markedly easier when you surround yourself with good people.

It's about a lot more than calling a turnaround or a breakout. It's about honor and integrity. At least that's the way I see it.

Lance has repeatedly demonstrated those qualities. This public thank-you is the least I could do.
