Thank you to the thread for your responses.
As a gorilla & King thread regular, we don't in any way doubt that spectacular returns can accrue to the investor who invests in companies with great execution but without benefit of IPR, ie Dell, EMC, AOL, etc. The philosophy of the G & K threadsters, based on The Gorilla Game by Geoffrey Moore, is to seek the highest returns that normally go to gorillas, and kings, but with the highest degree of safety.

Rupert E lists some good examples of Godzillas and others with great returns, but neglects to mention the many that have fizzled out or posed great risks as well.

From a Gorilla viewpoint, finding the company with an IPR, and great execution in an exploding industry, represents the Holy Grail. Microsoft, Cisco Systems come to mind. This year's example, identified by the G & K thread, many months before even Mr. Moore identified it, is QUALCOMM. Its returns are gigantic, and with a greater measure of safety, and with enormous earnings to boot.

I like Exodus, and will post here my DD. But exactly like BP detailed, it will require more diligent and prolonged observation of the competitive landscape, and may entail more sleepless nights, in about 1-3 years. But I am sure you won't fault me for continuing to search for the Holy Grail, too.
