JGoren: The problem is that neither Microsoft nor Ericsson has technology worth swapping to do much to benefit the other or to advance the wireless/internet nexus even a baby step.

The WAP browser that Ericsson has was actually developed by Phone.com and Ericsson simply uses it free.

This does not even include Win CE, since Ericsson didn't want that clunker.

So what is there?

These are two companies that are not exactly known for their innovative abilities.

Still curious what technologies each will bring to the table.

Certainly very little from in house in either case.

But of course both are big, rich and ruthless.

That may create fear but little cooperation from anyone else.
