A device implosion will occur, but not signal implosion.

Having all of the traditional TV and radio stations, and MP3 internet sites broadcasting via cellphone networks using HDR (or anything else for the matter) within the allocated bandwidths will not work. That said, I agree HDR's portability is a big plus.

Samsung just announced a handset with a built-in TV, that picks up TV signals from the standard TV frequencies. This is an example of device but not signal implosion.
