Could be that someone who initiated sell was buying after 4pm.

If this proves to be unwarranted tomorrow, whoever that caused the panic trigger is a master of market psychology. Since my after hour buy never got filled, somebody seems to be hitting all the ask in the after hours. A good ploy will be to put a cap on the ask by offering to sell say 1000 shares @ 17, buying everything at the bid below it and slowly raising the ask once the ask is getting hit by other bidders. In net effect, you sell some but buy a bunch at these levels.

if you look at total volume after 4pm, we are talking at least 250k. Could be that someone who initiated sell was buying after 4pm.

Interesting, according to Quote.com, the volume hit just short of 270,000 shares during the final 10 minutes of trading, which is quite close to the 250,000 after hours figure you quote.

I think many here will agree here that this quick & significant fallove during the final 10 minutes of trading is very suspicious. Moreover, I find it highly unlikely that ALL modems failed certification.

It is not unreasonable for one to conclude that this "market reaction" was intentionally orchestrated during the final minutes of trading when there would be little opportunity to react with anything but fear & haste.

My gut tells me that odds are what we witnessed today was more likely purposeful manipulation rather than rationale reaction to any insider news. JMO.
