I like discussing technology that is an integral part of the evolution of the internet. Any news articles or input relating to this is of interest to me. Any technology that fits this category is good to at least keep an eye on. Plus I think visionaries like Gilder are fun to listen to, and analyze. The best part about trying to predict the direction of change, is to see if we can generate an accurate view of what is coming and reap the financial rewards of putting our money in the right place. So I think anyone wishing to contribute to thoughtful discussions is an asset to us all.

Martin,

I just found out that 10Gbps was discussed at a recent T11 meeting (on Dec. 9) including documents containing objectives and a report to kick off the development of 10Gbps FC. T11 is responsible for standards development for FC and HIPPI.
