The only thing that HealthCentral.com and Medsite.com have in common is that they are both have Medical names and a dot com. However people that haven't done their research might not realize this so your guess is as good as mine on how we were effected.

HealthCental.com had revenues of $489,000 for the past 9 months and a $9 million loss. They provides online healthcare content to the public and get their revenues for advertising. They had very little backing going into the IPO. Medsite.com will have between 30-40 times this revenue for the same period and are in a completely different field without relying on advertising for revenue and have some big backers.

Companies like HealthCental.com are now a dime a dozen and it now seems like there are dozens of similar companies doing the exact same thing. Medsite.com on the other hand doesn't appear to have any major competition in almost all of the areas they are presently working in.
