Yen yack ..

dollar up strongly this AM ..

located my long entry yesterday .. expect upward move to continue through today ..

The yen itself is up slightly .. so bonds might move down slightly toward the end of the day. (read that as the TYX.X move up slightly at the end of the day for them .. ~2:45 or so)

...yeah, (my) post sounded kinda patronizing after I read it, and I had that "twinge of remorse" afterwards - as I can palpably feel your sensitivity right now, Berney :-/

no, I didn't see the potential of / buy any AA - Alcoa at the beginning of the year, fwiw. None of the other light metals companies have done well this year - either their management were not as keen at maintaining margins in the face of falling prices, or their "metal books" were hedged short-bias ("backwardation") so, they were locked into the wrong position for a "contango" commodity metal market scenario.
