Bill, that's right...the main contributor to low official inflation rates, high GDP numbers and high productivity numbers are actually PC's. they skew the rest of the economic data to such an extent that the official numbers in no way give an indication of what the economy is actually experiencing. the hedonic pricing trick you mention skews the data even further. if we knew what ACTUAL inflation rates are, the bond would probably yield a lot more than it now does... regards, hb
