James Calladine: NT bought Qtera: so what. It is a puny 3.5
bill doll deal.NT has enough money left for NN purchase.
It appears to me that Qtera is addressing the optical needs
of NT. I think that NN would address other needs of NT.

Let's see, NT mark.cap 113 bill-3.5bill = leaves 109 bill.
I am certain we can spare +/-10 bill for NN.<vbg>

Maybe ZO can comment ,

NT A CANDIDATE?

The below, if true, could remove NT from the short list?

08:12 ET Nortel Networks (NT) 84 55/128: NY Times reporting that company is in talks to acquire optical communications company Qtera for $2.5-3.5 bln in stock.
Qtera describes itself as "dedicated to the development of ultra, long reach photonic transport systems."

Best wishes,
Jim
