Art and Thread,

The HP display at Office Depot had the HP C1000 with a SanDisk CompactFlash card chained to it. There is a professional photograph on the card that probably takes up a couple of megabytes. The card can still be inserted into the CF slot and you can make a print directly. I was very excited to see the SanDisk card being used on the display!!!

I went over to CompUSA and the same printer was being demo'd by the sales rep. He had the HP C200 camera with him and would take photos of potential buyers and then stick the CompactFlash card into the printer. IT WAS A SANDISK CARD AS WELL!!!

I think that the suite of products (the digital camera, the digital film and a high quality inkjet printer) combined with the new PC people got last Christmas Season is a very tempting offering indeed. I have had superb results and hope to be supplanting my voracious appetite for 35mm film with a more calorie-conscious use of digital technology along with my home digital darkroom.

This is exciting folks!
