Rick,

I'm just extrapolating that if they've truly identified new genes, or gene transcipts, they should be patentable. Heck, they're alot closer to being able to recite function than the EST patent apps.

**Way OT** <<Saw a spot on TV this week..... he's using a keyboard this year instead of Reindeer.>>

Saw it too. Hopefully the jolly old elf will start trading now that he's on-line. His 401K alone could add a grand to the Dow. What are some good Finnish biostocks?

Why have none of the toy e-retailers figured out the idea of having a website where kids can write to Santa on-line, and then the parents can access the list? Heck, even without the e-retail tie-in or the parental access, the kid hits alone could be monster.

Great, now some web-surfer at MIT is going to be worth $10 billion next year off my idea. So I hereby claim it for the public domain (call me within the year, and we'll talk about exclusive licensing).

Let me see if I have this straight. If you want to cure a disease you want the most sophisticated tool available to identify completely what genes are expressed in that disease state versus a healthy state? Am I getting there?
